Set in the year 1156, this captivating film follows the journey of two extraordinary women – Elara, a wizard without power, and Adelaide, a scholar without a home – who join forces with the legendary Robin Hood to solve a mass murder and attempt to save the seaport town of Rye from a far more dangerous threat.
Created with groundbreaking artificial intelligence technologies, The Wizard and The Scholar is one of the first feature-length films anywhere created using these nascent technologies. Within a few years, generative AI will put the power of the largest movies studios into the hands of ordinary people, allowing millions of people the chance to tell their stories, democratizing filmmaking forever.
For now, these technologies are very rough, but the films created using AI are quickly growing in both quality and quantity. The Wizard and The Scholar, created from more than 10,000 (mostly) AI-powered clips, offers us a look at where we are today, bringing the tools of complex moviemaking from the hands of the elites, and putting it into to the hands of the people. (I think Robin Hood would be proud).
Dive into a tale of resilience, justice, and the search for belonging as the trio uncover secrets, confront dangers, and learns the true meaning of courage and friendship. With stunning visuals and a compelling storyline, The Wizard and The Scholar is an epic adventure that blends action and heart, immersed in a rich historical tapestry.
